Wrap up warm and join the National Centre for Birds of Prey for a magical evening event with the world’s most famous nocturnal birds! Winter Owl Evenings are a great idea for an evening out with family or friends, a present for someone special and are a superb way to treat yourself – the memories will last forever!
Start the evening with a mulled wine or hot, spiced apple juice before heading out to meet the aviary owls. Enjoy witnessing the Centre lit only by lanterns and fairy lights. Following the aviary, you will visit Xmas Tree Cottage to see the tiny owls flying.
After finishing the tour of aviary owls, you will head to the Owl Café for a 2 course meal. Please see the National Centre for Birds of Prey website for the menu.
Finally, see the large owls flying free in the darkness of the woodland flying ground, lit only by torchlight, the highlight of the evening.
This very special evening starts at 7pm prompt and ends at around 9.45pm (ish). The evenings are suitable for children aged 8 and over.
Please wear warm, sensible clothes, and bring a torch!!
Please note – this is (obviously!) a dark activity. Therefore we ask photographers not to use a flash – which makes taking photos challenging!
