A unique exhibition to mark the arrival of the Zeplin III Dark Matter Detector at Whitby Museum. The exhibition shows the fascinating work being done at Boulby Underground Laboratory on planetary exploration, the search for extra-terrestrial life and cosmic radiation. After showing how Captain Cook’s voyage of 1768 contributed to our understanding of the solar system, the exhibition then focusses on the ongoing search for Dark Matter.
Sponsored by the Royal Society.
Open 9:30 to 4:30 every day except Mondays. Entry to the exhibition is free but museum costs apply as usual. Runs until 20 July.
